TROWBRIDGE-BASED The Dursley Arms are the new leaders of Division Three following their thumping 9-1 victory over previous table toppers FC St George, who have also suffered from a three-point deduction for playing an ineligible player in their opening game of the season when they beat 91-92 FC 14-0.

For a second successive week Martin Johnson scored a hat-trick for Joe Kirkpatrick’s side.

Connor McKay claimed a couple, singles for Joe Grant, Sean Brereton, Jordan De Silva and Jake Hiscocks made to the Dursley’s tally and although the season is just three weeks old they look like the team to beat.

For the first time in seven seasons Warminster Wanderers got one over their local rivals Fox & Hounds FC.

In the Frome Sunday League, Jeff Glasson’s side could never get the better of their opponents, but their first meeting in the Chippenham League not only saw them chalk up their first win in three attempts it ended the Fox & Hounds hoodoo.

Ryan Elly got Wanderers off to a fine start and things got better when Anthony Holton added a second for Glasson’s side.

A second for Elly took it to 3-0 before goals from Damien Holton and Justin Preece got Fox & Hounds back in the game.

The second half saw Wanderers reclaim a two-goal cushion thanks to a hat-trick goal from Elly and although James Wase grabbed a third for Fox & Hounds it wasn’t enough as Warminster held on to claim the bragging rights.

Leighton Sports Centre once again proved to be a perfect hunting ground for Westbury Conservative Club who, after last week's defeat away from home, returned to their home patch.

After a goalless first half against 91-92 FC they ran out 5-0 victors.

Steve Ball, on his way to his second hat-trick of the season, set the Cons’ Club on their way to victory, Owen Hunter and Lee Causon whose goal came late on made up the winners' five.
