FC NORTH Wiltshire find themselves as the new leaders of Division Two after battling to a 3-2 win over fellow residents Corsham Oak FC at a fog-bound Leafy Lane.

Corsham Oak, who were the designated home side for this fixture, started much the stronger and went ahead on 12 minutes after some neat interplay down their left-hand side saw Simon Young find the net.

FC North Wiltshire were not at the races in the opening 25 minutes and were extremely lucky that Corsham Oak failed to convert their possession and territory into more goals.

As the visitors began to gain a foothold in the match the final ball and in particular their delivery from set pieces let them down.

With just three minutes  remaining of the first half, Nick Davenport volleyed home from long range after a knock down from David Biggs to pull North Wilts level.

Less than a minute later North Wilts struck again, James Smith rampaging down the right saw his shot parried by Dave Cardus and David Biggs fired home the rebound for a 2-1 half-time lead.

The second half begun much as the first had with Corsham Oak dominating and the hosts should have pulled level early in the second half when the North Wilts defence stopped for an offside flagged by the linesman, but referee Martin Chown overruled the flag and allowed play to continue but the ball was fired wide.

The equaliser came on the hour mark when a powerful Kevin Bance shot from the edge of the area beat Richard Toghill in the North Wilts goal.

Corsham Oak looked the more likely winners but David Biggs crossed for James Smith to head FC North Wiltshire 3-2 in front with just a couple of minutes left on the clock and they were extremely grateful for the final whistle when it blew as they held on for victory.

Sutton Benger took the points with a comfortable 4-0 win away against old rivals Christian Malford at Stanley Park.

Benger opened the scoring after three minutes when Ben Butterfield beat the offside trap and crossed from the right for Chris Casey to shoot home to give them a 1-0 lead.

Marc Edwards volleying home on 40 minutes and two minutes later Simon McCarthy scored from Nathan Todd’s pass to give them a 3-0 half time lead.

A second from McCarthy gave Benger a deserved 4-0 win on the day.

Just a few weeks after their stunning 6-2 success over The Grapes United, Wayne Duggan has seen his FC Bradford side drop two more points as their promotion bid appears to be coming off the rails.

Bradford who drew 3-3 with Sutton Benger last time out had to settle for a point from their 3-3 stalemate at home to Miller Sports B.

Bradford led through Ashley Styles but found themselves 2-1 down at the interval as goals from Harry Waylen and Ben Cooper turned things around for Miller.

Bradford equalised through a second from Styles and took a 3-2 lead thanks to Mark Robinson.

Nathan Drew scored a third for Miller to earn them a share of the spoils from a hard-fought-for but well deserved draw.

FC Lacock and The Mallard shared six goals and the points in what was a thrilling match that saw Mallard come from 3-1 down to claim a deserved point.

After a goalless first half the game came to life with Josh Hard giving Lacock the lead.

James Terry restored parity for Mallard only for Lacock to reclaim the lead thanks to a second from Hard.  Lacock extended their lead to 3-1 when Josh Hard completed his hat-trick.

Jason Dawson got Mallard back in the contest and the amazing turnaround was completed when James Terry bagged his second of the game to tie the score at 3-3.
