The top two sides in Division Three met at Beaversbrook in what was expected to be a close contest between Joe Kirkpatrick’s table-toppers The Dursley Arms and hosts Cavalier.

In what in the end was a one-sided contest Dursley thumped their opponents 9-1 to open up a healthy five-point gap at the summit.

Conner McKay with two and Sean Brereton scored for Dursley before Jon Cole reduced the deficit for Cavalier who then saw Dan Mercer score to give Dursley a 4-1 interval lead.

The second half saw McKay score a third to complete his hat-trick. Joe Kirkpatrick and a hat trick from Jordan De Silva who doubled his tally for the campaign to six completed the rout.

91-92 FC picked up a welcomed three points thanks to a 2-1 home success over White Horse (Sunday) B.

Ross Mather’s goal for 91-92 separated the sides at the break, Gary Turk doubled his teams lead before Matt Crosnier scored a late consolation for White Horse.

A 5-2 victory for Paul Revening’s Evana Designs side away at bottom of the table Calne United was good enough to move them into the top half of the table.

Aflie Bain was on target for Calne in a first half that saw Ant Lamb score the first of his five goals for Evana.

A first goal for Calne from Alex Ambrus was a consolation as Lamb scored 4 second half goal to complete a five-timer and take his tally for the season to 12.

A 3-0 victory for Semington over Fox & Hounds (Warminster) not only saw the villagers complete a double over their opponents but the win also stretched the victors unbeaten run to five matches which moved them up to third place in the standings.

Lee Stripe’s left-footed finish on 30 minutes separated the teams at half time.

Dan Phillips made it 2-0 in the 70th minute and Ashley Whittaker goal five minute from time when he lobbed the onrushing keeper from 25 yards out before going in off the post seal the win.
