FOREST AFC took to the pitch for the first time since the sudden death of team manager Stephen “Wacker” Wakefield almost two weeks ago.
The Melksham-based side visited Fairford Town (Sunday) for their delayed Sunday Cup match and although they gave it their best shot they came up just short as Fairford won 2-1, Mark Pearce scoring the Forest consolation.
