THE only Division One fixture that beat the elements was played out at Sands Lane, where hosts Rowdy Cow Rowde took on a North Star side who were looking to end a five-match losing run.
At the end of a thrilling contest it was Rowde who, thanks to a 3-2 win, arrested their own dip in form to claim a first win in three outings.
A double from Matt Minnis put the hosts 2-0 and although Mickey Taraskevics halved the deficit prior to the break with his first of the season, Rory Collins reclaimed a two-goal cushion for Rowdy Cow.
A second from Taraskevics proved just to be a consolation for a Star side who are struggling to find their best form this season.
