CORSHAM CC Wildcats went into their game with Cons FC having already beaten them 5-3 earlier in the season and looking to build on last week's stunning 7-0 success over The Pack Horse FC.

The reigning Premier Division champions were given a reality check as Cons produced one of their finest displays for a long time as they tamed the Wildcats with a 6-2 triumph.

Wildcats led through Dan Sibley, but found themselves down at the break as goals for Harry Myles and Scott Nash put Cons 2-1 up.

A second from Sibley restored parity for the Wildcats but his goals counted for nothing further goals from Myles, Ben Leslie who struck twice and Ben Hibberd earned Cons an unexpected but well deserved win.

The Pack Horse made a welcome return to winning ways after last weekend 7-0 defeat against Corsham CC Wildcats.

Tyrone Prades side claimed an excellent 4-1 victory over fellow title hopefuls AFC Melksham. Dave Nolan and Craig Fisher gave Pack Horse a 2-0 interval lead.

Jamie Treweke and a second from Fisher made up their quartet. Callum Demkiv replied for Melksham.

Westbury Rangers may have suffered a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of leaders Goatacre CC FC, but Shaun Gardiner’s side, who came close to calling it a day a few weeks ago, can take heart from the result which was an improvement from the last time the teams met when Goatacre won 5-0.

Simon Dance broke the deadlock for Goatacre on 40 minutes and although Marc Lanfear got Rangers back on level terms it wasn’t enough to deny the visitors who played the second half with just 10 men.

Darren Holcombe regained the lead for Goatacre on 60 minutes and a second from Dance in the 68th minute wrapped up the points.

A 10-0 victory for The Castle FC at White Horse (Sunday) A moved Nathan Emm’s team into second place in the standings and, on current form, the Devizes based side look as if they are the team to beat this term.

Luke Enderby started and finished the scoring for a Castle side who struck five times in each half to claim an emphatic win, Matt Tilley helped himself to a four-timer, Gary Campbell added a brace and an own goal and a third for Enderby completed the rout.
