FOLLOWING the recent withdrawal of Miller Sports B from Division Two, Martin Perrett’s Corsham Oak found themselves top of the table and a 4-2 victory over FC Bradford ensured they will remain at the summit for the time being.

Corsham, who won the reverse fixture 4-3, made the perfect start when Dan Purser played in Mike Wilkins who finished well to give them the lead.

Bradford got back on level terms through Mark Maguire but went into the break 2-1 down, Kadir Ayhan maintaining his purple patch in front of goal with a left-footed rocket that cannoned in off the underside of the bar to give Corsham their lead.

A second from Wilkins made it 3-1 and it was game over when Aaron Masson scored a debut goal to put Corsham 4-1 in front.

Maguire added his and Bradford’s second but it was little more than a consolation for Wayne Duggan’s side.

Lavington Rangers moved into second place in the table following their 4-2 home success over Oakhill FC, who had beaten Pete Drew’s side 5-3 when the sides last met.

A Jacob Rogers double put Lavington 2-1 at half time after Callum Eacott had put Oakhill into an early lead.

Rob Jefferies got Oakhill back on level terms early in the second half but they conceded the lead again when Rogers fired home to complete his hat-trick.

Lavington finally put the game to bed when Mike Booth bagged his first league goal of the season to seal what was a fine win for the villagers.
