SEMINGTON FC picked up a crucial three points in their bid to climb out of Division Three at the first attempt.

Ricky King’s side consolidated their second place after defeating third in the table Westbury Conservative Club 2-0.

After a goalless first half Chris Dore’s crisp finish into the bottom corner broke the deadlock for Semington and Rich Allum sealed victory with a well struck 20-yard free kick.

A 6-3 victory for FC St George over White Horse B saw them complete a double over their opponents who they beat 4-0 the last time the teams met.

Lee Kennedy’s goal for St George separated the teams at the interval. Kennedy added a further two in the second half to claim a three-timer and Paul Arnold, Kenny Burrows and Stuart Green added the others to make up the half dozen.

Dave Jones, Ishmail Negraj and Matt Crosneir replied for White Horse.

Goals from Greg Richardson, Jake Mansbridge and two from Jamie Kinchin were not enough for Fox & Hounds (Warminster) to end the winning run of Division Three leaders The Dursley Arms who thanks to a dominant first half showing claimed a 6-4 win.

Jamie Jordan and Alex De Silva both netted doubles while Joe Grant and a seventh goal of the season for Jake Hiscock made up the Dursley’s tally.

A 2-1 win for Warminster Wanderers over Forest AFC saw Jeff Glasson’s side register their first victory since they beat Evana Designs at the end of November.

Jamie Howse gave Wanderers a half-time lead and David Raine made it 2-0 before Danny Ashwood pulled a goal back for Forest five minutes from time.

However it was a case of too little, too late as Wanderers saw out time to claim a fifth win of the season.
