OAKHILL FC followed up Thursday evening’s thrilling 4-3 success over FC Lacock with a hard earned 2-1 triumph over Christian Malford who they are due to play again on Thursday evening.

The victory, which stretched their unbeaten run in Division Two to eight matches, means they are serious promotion contenders and could even pip title favourites The Grapes FC to the number one spot should they win all their remaining games.

Oakhill had man of the match keeper Barry Kelly to thank for their win.

Despite a first-half mistake that led to Matt Webb giving Malford the lead, Kelly was brilliant throughout the game.

Connor Laidlaw restored parity and a Stephen Lynch own goal won it for Oakhill.

Both FC Bradford and Lavington Rangers have had somewhat of a mixed bag this season.

So Bradford would have been happy with a 2-1 that saw them claim revenge for their 5-1 loss from the opening day of the campaign.

After a goalless first half Bradford took the lead when Mike Evans scored direct from a corner.

A first goal of the season for Liam Kennedy got Lavington back on level terms and the game looked all set for a draw until Evans drove home a 35-yard curled effort with a few minutes left to hand Bradford all three points.

Having beaten Old Road FC 5-0 just a couple of weeks ago The Mallard were looking for a quick fire double over the basement side, however things didn’t go to plan for the Mallard as a 3-1 victory for Old Road saw them move off the foot of the table.

Old Road opened the scoring through Max Hardman but a goal on the stroke of half time from Mark Lazenby got the Mallard back on level terms.

A goal for Ollie Burton-Towell on his debut saw Old Road regain the lead and when Kial Pengelly netted his first-ever goal for the club the points were in the bag.

Second division pacesetters The Grapes United picked up three valuable points courtesy of a hard fought 2-1 win at home to FC Lacock.

Nathan Walker saw his early opener for Grapes cancelled out by Josh Hard who effort with the last kick of the first half gave Lacock a chance to avenge their 4-0 loss from earlier in the season.

But that disappeared when Mikki Harrison scored the Grapes' winner midway through the second half.
