LACOCK bought the curtain down on what has been a fine second season for the villagers with an 8-1 victory at relegated Christian Malford, which means that they finish the season in fourth place in the standings.

Matt Webb was Malford’s lone scorer, while for Lacock, Ryan Ross and Jack Woolsgrove scored one each, Rory Davis netted a hat-trick as did Josh Hard who took his season’s tally to 30, making him not only the division’s top striker but also overall joint top scorer in the league, along with Westbury Cons’ Club Steve Ball.

Having secured the runners-up spot in the division on Thursday evening, Oakhill followed their 7-1 win over Old Road with a 4-2 victory against The Mallard FC.

Tom Webb headed Oakhill level after a first league goal of the season for Dave Lazenby had put Mallard 1-0 up.

Kieran Tarrant was on target to give Oakhill a 2-1 interval lead.

Tarrant claimed his second and Oakhill’s third of the morning which was helped over the line by the Mallard keeper.

Nathan Merritt added number four before Ben Scaife struck his first of the season to give Mallard their second.
