AFTER gaining promotion at the end of last season, Chippenham-based Oakhill have struggled to get going this campaign and things didn’t get any better at Lavington Rangers as a 4-1 loss saw them slump to a fourth straight defeat.

Graham Dow opened the scoring for Rangers on 10 minutes and Jacob Rogers doubled the lead in the 35th minute.

Cameron Lee netted number three five minutes into the second period.

Seamus Nickless-Mooney with his first goal for Oakhill gave them a glimmer hope which disappeared when James Squire put the game to bed with Rangers' fourth of the morning.

Corsham Oak claimed back-to-back victories as a 4-2 victory over FC Lacock ended the villagers' unbeaten start to the season.

In what was an entertaining first half Corsham twice led through goals from Andy Woods and Andy Wilkins, but on both occasions Josh Hard responded .

Darren Applegate put Corsham in front for a third time and on this occasion Lacock couldn’t respond and when Aaron Masson gave his team a two-goal cushion it was game over as Corsham claimed a deserved 4-2 win.

On their way to winning the third division title last term The Grapes United suffered defeat in just three of the 19 fixtures, two of those coming at the hands of FC Bradford.

However, Grapes ended the Bradford hoodoo with a 3-0 win. Stuart Barber, who had failed to get off the mark in the opening three fixtures, scored all three goals.

Calne BFC suffered a first defeat of the season when they were beaten 4-2 at Westbury Rangers who got back to winning ways after last week’s loss to The Grapes United.

Westbury were 2-0 ahead inside the opening 10 minutes with Adam Bishop scoring both of the goals.

Joe Moloney added a third on 40 minutes. Darren Holcombe pulled a goal back for Calne early in the second half, but despite a late penalty it wasn’t enough for Calne as a first goal for the club from George James sealed Rangers' win.
