SOUTHWICK Sports Ground was the stage for the heavyweight clash between the top two sides in Division Three.

Hosts Faded FC and guests Box Rovers went into the clash with 100 per cent starts to the season and come the final whistle it was Box who emerged triumphant thanks to a 3-1 win.

Pete Spong’s first-half goal for Faded was to be little more than a consolation as Box restored parity via Adam Taylor and took a 2-1 lead courtesy of Justin Flowers before Greg Bazell’s with his first goal for the club, confirmed Rovers win.

Warminster Wanderers who had not won since the opening day of the season, ended a three-match losing streak with a 5-2 win at AFC Rowde who wait for their first win of the campaign continues.

Wanderers owed their success to a hat-trick from Dale Rowland which took his tally to eight goals, and a goal each for David Raine and Alex Bates.

Owen Thomson and Mark Revening with his first-ever goal in adult football gave Rowde their consolations.

North Star Club made the short trip to local rivals Calne United and for a second week in a row, Liam Westland’s new-look Star side were celebrating victory as a 5-3 win that saw them chalk up back-to-back victories for the first time since rejoining the league.

Joe Childs had a game to remember for North Star, scoring the first two goals that put his team in a comfortable position before Matt Fenn got Calne back in the game with a first-half penalty.

After the break Childs completed his hat-trick as Star regained their 2 goal advantage.

A second from Matt Fenn gave Calne a glimmer of hope which disappeared when Matt Lang and Paul Green from the penalty spot made it 5-2 prior to Callum Horne scoring a late third for Calne.

Fox & Hounds (Warminster) picked up maximum points from their meeting with The Foresters Arms who played their part in an entertaining contest which the Fox won 5-3.

Sean Horobin’s opener for Foresters was cancelled out by James Wase which took the teams into the interval locked together at 1-1.

Jamie Kinchin put Fox & Hounds 2-1 ahead before a second for Horobin level things at 2-2.

Both Wase and Kinchin found the net again for the the Fox & Hounds as they opened up a 4-2 lead.

Kyle Palmer pulled a third goal back for the Foresters but his effort was all in vain as Jamie Wase sealed Fox & Hounds win with his third of the morning and his team's fifth.

Forest AFC who managed just three wins from their 20 matches last season have already reached that mark this campaign after a 6-2 win at White Horse B saw them claim maximum points for a third time in their opening five games.

Trailing 2-1 at the break to goals from Darren Cockerill and Gavin Collier, Forest staged a brilliant second-half performance to turn things around. Brentley Roberts added to his first half effort to claim a double.

However the scoring honours went to Callum Grant who took his tally in three game to 10 with a four-timer.
