WESTBURY Conservative Club made the trip to Goatacre looking for their first win of the season.

With hosts The Mallard looking for a third straight win in Division Two, they started the contest as underdogs but, thanks to a John Williams wonder strike, they claimed a 2-1 win that also saw them move of the foot of the table.

The Mallard broke the deadlock on 35 minutes through Michael Brett, but with the first half drawing to a close Westbury fashioned an equaliser with Steve Ball finding the net to restore parity.

In what was a tight second half that saw chances come and go for both teams, it was going to take a mistake or something special to win the game and it was the latter with Williams lashing home a stunning winner from 25 yards to end his team's winless run.

Old Road FC’s 5-1 triumph at FC North Wiltshire gave them their second win of the campaign and moved them four points clear of the drop zone.

Tom Tedstone with two and Hugo Skelhorn scored their first goals for Old Road before Eusablo Titus scored for a fifth successive league game running to reduce the arrears.

However his goal before half time was a false dawn as second-half goals for Tyler Smith and Matt Poole wrapped up victory for Old Road.

FC Pig & Whistle may not have ended their 23-match losing run, but Andy Allen’s side will be more than happy with 2-2 draw with Cavalier as it gave them their first point in March 2015.

The game was held up for 30 minutes following a serious injury to Cavalier’s Nick Oram who was making his first start for the club.

Once the game restarted Nathan Moffett gave Cavalier the lead which was cancelled out by Shaun Heathcote.

Leigh Blanchard put Cavalier 2-1 ahead at the break. Pig & Whistle’s second half substitute Dudley Philpott proved to be their hero as he came off the bench to earn his team what will be a morale-boosting draw.

A battling display by visitors Christian Malford surprised second-placed Semington at their Little Marsh pitch as the points were shared following a 1-1 draw.

Semington applied the early pressure as they had the slight slope to their advantage.

Malford kept the game goalless, with keeper and manager Grant Christie having a fine game.

Malford led on 35 minutes when Ashley Fletcher beat the offside trap only to be stopped by keeper Jamie Hutton, the ball falling to Matt Webb to stroke the ball home to give them a 1-0 lead.

Semington pushed forward and after 40 minutes equalised when Ricky King back flicked a cross from the right into the net.

It was first versus third at Lambrok Road where leaders The Dursley Arms hosted FC St George and with both teams going into the game in good form and unbeaten.

A close contest looked to be on the cards and that how it was at half time with Dursley winning 3-1.

After the break though the hosts raised the game to run out 8-2 winners.

After Mike Payne had given St George the lead, Dursley fought back to lead at half time thanks to a Jordan Pinder double and Jamie Jordan's single.

Leon Greenland added two, a second for Jordan and a goal each for Martin Johnson and Dan Price made up Dursley’s total. Cameron Simpson scored St George’s second.
