WITH the cold snap accounting for most of the games in the first division, the two teams, The Grapes United and Westbury Rangers did battle at Christie Miller.
Leaders Grapes stormed to a 9-4 success with goals from Nick Ridout (3), Ashley Barnett (2), Mikki Harrison firing the table-toppers into a 6-0 lead at the break.
Ridout added his fourth to make it 7-0 before Westbury, who moved goalkeeper Liam Griffiths out on pitch, reduced the arrears with strikes from Griffiths, Josh Gardner, Joe Moloney and Mark Young.
However, any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Barnett completed his treble before Stuart Barber rounded off the win two minutes from time.
