THIRD Division leaders Box Rovers booked their place in the semi-finals of this season's AM Print & Copy-sponsored Knockout Cup after they produced the upset of the competition so far by beating Premier Division leaders Bremhill View 2-0.

Bremhill, who had plenty of chances to win the tie themselves, were denied by the woodwork on three occasions and also thwarted by some resolute Box defending were finally undone by a goal in each half from Justin Flowers.

Top flight Somerford FC proved too strong for The Foresters Arms.

The Melksham-based side, who had claimed the scalps of Old Road and Semington FC in previous rounds, suffered an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Trevor Rawlings' side.

Goals from Matt Spear and Kent Kauppinen gave the villagers a 2-0 half-time lead.

After the break, Kauppinen added his second and Matt Holdoway claimed a three-timer and with singles for Mark Nolan and Ashley Monaghan gave them safe passage to the semi-final.

The belated Knockout Cup second clash between Cavalier and Pheasant FC went the way of the former whose 4-3 victory means they will take on either Rowdy Cow Rowde or The Dursley Arms for a place in the semi-finals.

For Cavalier, who lost a WG Parr Trophy clash with Pheasant by the same score line it was sweet revenge, Adam Bewley, Leigh Blanchard, Antony Butler and Jack Lenaghan’s late winner cancelled out Josh Legg’s hat-trick for Pheasant.

A 14-0 victory for The Grapes United at home to third division FC St George set up a quarter-final meeting with cup holders Corsham CC Wildcats.

Nick Ridout top scored with five, Stuart Barber scored a hat-trick and two goals apiece from Tom Robinson, Ed Escott and Steve Toogood made up the 14.
