HAVING been top of the Division One table through October, Westbury Rangers have lost their way since.

A 6-3 reverse at Calne BFC was their fourth defeat on the trot, while the win for Calne saw them close to within three points of leaders The Grapes United.

Despite taking a 10th-minute lead through Josh Gardner, Westbury found themselves 3-1 down at the break as Tom Nott restored parity for Calne on 25 minutes and Dean Fry put them 2-1 up in the 33rd minute.

A Jamie-Lloyd Davies effort saw them add a third prior to half time.

Calne had to wait until the 75th minute before they made it 4-1, thanks to a second from Davies.

Stuart Windsor fired home number five before Dane McKenzie and Gardner with his second of the morning netted for Westbury to make things interesting, but it was too little, too late as a third for Davies, to complete his hat-trick, saw Calne to their 6-3 success.

A goal in each half saw Oakhill defeat fellow relegation battlers Corsham Oak 2-0 to open up a five-point gap on their opponents at the foot of the table.

However having played six games more than Corsham, Oakhill know they have a long wait to see it they can beat the drop.

Sam Clark’s goal at the very end of the first half gave Oakhill the lead and it was left to Kieran Tarrant to seal victory with his strike midway through the second half.

A first-ever hat-trick for Aaron Thornton helped FC Bradford to a 4-2 victory over Sutton Benger.

Thornton saw his first effort cancelled out by Ben Butterfield whose first half finish took the teams into half time locked at one apiece.

Thornton regained the lead for Bradford and then added a third before Damien Moran’s free kick from distance put them 4-1 ahead.

Rhys Merriman was Benger’s other hitman.
