SOMERFORD kept themselves in the Premier Division title race with a battling 5-2 success at Corsham Youth, who had they guests on the rack at half-time as they led 2-1 before Somerford came out all guns firing in the second half to claim three vital points.

Jake Marshall netted both goals for Corsham, but Josh Hughes with three, Will Stone and a first goal for the club from prolific hitman Ed Wilkins completed the comeback.

After struggling to get the better of Audley FC last weekend, Ben Redford’s table-topping Bremhill View hosted a rusty Bath Road outfit, who were playing their first game since mid-November.

It was little surprise the team who started with 10 men went on to suffer a 9-0 loss.

Tom Sigee’s double and goals for Kieron Gleed and Karl Sharratt gave Bremhill a 4-0 half-time lead.

The second half saw Sharratt added a second and Gleed complete a hat-trick with another two.

Eddie Summers came off the bench and made up the nine with a double.

Defending top-flight champions Melksham Town were in the goals at home to Audley FC, Mike Rogers side running out 12-1 victors as they continue to stay in touch with Bremhill View at the top of the table.

James Dark and Dan Sibley, who has proved his worth since arriving at the club, scored three each.

Jack Woolsgrove and Jordan Kirk bagged two each and a goal apiece for Callum Demkiv and Jordan Kirk completed the dozen.

Craig Garner was Audley’s lone hitman.
