DIVISION One leaders The Grapes United suffered their first loss of the season after they were surprisingly beaten 6-3 at Lavington Rangers.

Matt Tilley may have given Lavington the lead, but the villagers trailed 2-1 at the break with Nick Ridout’s double putting Grapes on top.

Jamie Hall got Lavington back on level terms and a screamer from Tilley and a second for Hall saw them open up a 4-2 lead.

Stuart Barber poked home from close range to reduce the arrears for Grapes.

However that spurred Lavington on and a third of the morning from Tilley and a unbelievable diving header from Cameron Lee saw Lavington chalk up a stunning win.

Calne BFC saw their hopes of an automatic promotion spot suffer a blow after they were held to a 4-4 draw Sutton Benger.

After Jamie-Lloyd Davies had given Calne a half-time lead and Dean Fry had doubled that early in the second half they looked on course for another win.

However Benger had other ideas as Ben Butterfield and Mark Merriman got Benger back on level terms.

Tom Richards and Matt Smart regained a two-goal cushion for Calne, but back came Benger who claimed their point thanks to a James Weston double the first of which came from the penalty spot.

In what was their 16th game of the season Oakhill visited FC Bradford looking to avenge their 6-1 opening-day defeat but once again it was the latter who took the points as they ran out 7-2 winners.

Harry Hamlin, Phil Lewis and Jimmy Meade were on target for Bradford in a first half that saw Connor Laidlaw and Shamus Nickless-Monney replied for Oakhill.

The second half saw Mark Maguire make it 4-2 before Meade added his second of the morning for 5-2.

Maguire wrapped up the win as a further two goals saw him complete a hat-trick.

Corsham Oak may have beaten FC Lacock 4-1 when the teams met in September but since then Dave Cardus' side have failed to win a game and languish at the foot of the table.

A 3-2 defeat saw their woes continue. Josh Bright's first-half efforts for Lacock gave them the lead as Andy Wilkins replied.

Kieran Hard made it 3-1 and although Adrian Webb added a second for Corsham it proved little more than a consolation.

Westbury Rangers suffered a fifth straight defeat after they were beaten 11-4 at Pheasant FC, whose seventh win of the season coupled with Grapes United’s surprise loss maintains their interest in battle for top spot.

Max Wyatt, who came off the bench to score a hat-trick in his previous game for Pheasant, top scored with four, Josh Legg, Richard Hudson and Richie Bolter scored two each and Joey Hylands single made up the 11 for the Chippenham-based side.

Joe Moloney replied for Westbury with a hat-trick, two of which were penalties. Sean Meer added the other.
