A 12th win of the season for The Dursley Arms saw the Trowbridge based team return to the top of Division Two.

Joe Kirkpatrick’s treble-chasing side are nailed-on certainties for back-to-back titles after they returned from Goatacre with another three points in the bag courtesy of a 6-2 victory over the Mallard FC.

Martin Johnson and Jordan Pinder were on target for Dursley in a first half that saw Michael Brett net for the Mallard.

Leon Greenland, Darren Amador, Joe Grant and a second from Johnson made up Dursley’s half-dozen. James Terry added the second Mallard goal.

Cavalier had rearranged their home game against Christian Malford to the 3G pitch at Beversbrook and coped better with the fierce wind to take the points with a 3-0 victory.

Cavalier opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a somewhat fortuitous goal. Malford's keeper Grant Christie was deceived by the bounce of a long ball in the wind, the subsequent melee leaving Adam Bewley with a simple chance to give Cavalier a 1-0 lead.

Minutes later the Malford keeper pulled off an excellent save down to his left to deny Bewley and Cavalier a second goal. Malford had a chance to equalise but Cavalier keeper Graeme Webster denied Ashley Fletcher with a fine save.

Malford now with the wind advantage were soon dominating but as in the first half were struggling once the ball became airborne.

Cavalier were also defending well and as the half progressed came more into the game.

After 75 minutes they increased their lead when Martin Mitchell rose unchallenged to head home Adam Bewley's corner.

Substitute Dan Arnold settled matters in the 89th minute as he fought for the ball in the area and managed to fire the ball home to give Cavalier a deserved 3-0 win.

The game was well refereed by Dave Pound.
