WITH the overnight rain claiming their fixture at Stanley Park, the quick-thinking of Pheasant manager Del Llewellyn and Corsham Oak’s Dave Cardus saved the day as the match was moved to Leafy Lane where title hopefuls Pheasant claimed a 4-2 win.

Pheasant, who have a great chance of claiming a top-two finish, were given a tough test by Corsham who went in front on 10 minutes through Adrian Webb.

Rich Hudson got Pheasant back on level terms only for Mike Wilkins to regain the lead for Corsham.

The match-defining moment came just before half-time when Corsham had Mitchell May sent off for a deliberate handball and Hudson slotted home the resulting penalty to make it 2-2.

Corsham were excellent in the second half as they took the game to Pheasant, but their numerical disadvantage proved costly as goals in added on time from Max Wyatt and Nick Maniford earned Pheasant all three points.

FC Lacock had their scoring boots on at home to Westbury Rangers.

The villagers, who won the reverse fixture 6-4, were deadly in front of goal as they ran out 10-3 victors.

Josh Hard and Josh Bright both scored hat-tricks and Jake Brewer, Adam Stevenson, Ryan Ross and Zach Preston all netted singles after Josh Gardner had given Westbury the lead.

Jon Hogarth and Dan Cox were Westbury’s other hitmen.
