MELKSHAM Town (Sunday) and Somerford locked horns at Christie Miller in what was a must-win game for both teams in their quest to become Premier Division champions.

Melksham kept their slim hopes of retaining the title alive after they overturned a 2-0 deficit to run out 5-3 winners and move level with Somerford in second spot, with both teams currently four points behind leaders Bremhill View.

Somerford led 2-0 courtesy of a Will Stone double.

James Dark them turned the game on its head as his brilliantly-taken hat-trick put Melksham 3-2 ahead at the break.

Dan Sibley extended Melksham’s advantage to 4-2 with another stunning goal.

Robbie Burton’s penalty got Somerford back in the game but it counted for nothing as Jordan Kirk sealed maximum points for Mike Rogers' defending champions.

Rowdy Cow Rowde returned form Merition Avenue with all three points after defeating hosts Corsham Youth 5-2.

Bradley Whitbread and Matt Lever hit the net for Rowdy Cow in a first half that saw Nick Gingell score from the penalty spot for the home team.

After the break Robbie Whyte scored twice with Rory Collins got on the scoresheet for the winners, while Joe Lye replied for Corsham.
