FADED FC and Box Rovers kept the pressure on each other at the top of Division Three as victories over respective opponents North Star Club and White Horse B means that both of the championship hopefuls are locked together at the top of the table.

Faded, who currently occupy the number one spot thanks to a better goals difference, beat North Star Club 8-1.

Two first-half goals from Matt Minnis took his tally to 50 for the season,

Adil Bakali added the other to give their team a 3-1 lea.

Star’s reply came from Zach Surry.

After the break, Minnis found the net a further three times, to claim a 5-timer, Ismail Negraj and Bilal Karmoni bagging the others.

White Horse B, who had already suffered a 9-0 loss to Box, decided to park the bus against their high-scoring opponents.

For a while their tactics paid off and Box were unable to find a way through their defence, until Jon Bazley broke the deadlock with a long-range strike.

Gavin Collier restored parity for White Horse when he headed home a Nick Mead corner, however they then succumbed for a second time as Ed Baldwin reclaimed the lead for Box.

A goal on his debut from Jamie Harrison gave Box some much-needed breathing space.

White Horse were not done and Nick Mead made things a little more interesting before Justin Flowers tucked away a late penalty to earn Box a 14th straight win of the season.

Forest AFC may have opened the season with a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Fox & Hounds (Warminster) but Lee Fordham’s side finished it with a 4-2 success over the same opponents.

Jamie Gibbons' excellent free kick gave Forest the lead and Brentley Roberts made it 2-0 before Damien Holton halved the deficit for Fox & Hounds.

A left-footed finish from Matt Carroll saw Forest add a third, and although James Wase scored a second for Fox & Hounds to make things interesting, a second for Carroll sealed Forest’s 4-2 win.

Melksham-based The Foresters Arms signed off their league campaign with a 2-1 loss at home to Calne United, who came from behind to claim their sixth win of the season.

David Williams saw early first-half effort for Foresters count for nothing as Josh Eades got Calne back on level terms after the break and Jordan Stewart bagged what proved to be the winner.
