WITH Dave Young unable to take charge of his Cavalier side for their trip to FC North Wiltshire, Pete Drew took over the reins at the Devizes-based side and in Young’s absence he guided them to the top of Division One following a 2-1 success at Leafy Lane.

Richard Tandy’s early penalty was cancelled out by Adam Bewley who got Cavalier on level terms shortly before half-time. In a very tight second half where either team could have secured the win it was Leigh Blanchard’s late strike that earned Drew his maiden win.

Corsham Oak may have opened the scoring against White Horse FC, but they had to come from behind to claim a share of the spoils from a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Jack Kellity’s first-half penalty separated the teams at the break. White Horse restored parity through Jamie Hancock. Sean O’Brien put White Horse 2-1 ahead prior to Andy Wilkins netting from a free kick inside his own half to earn Corsham a point.

Semington thrashed Sutton Benger 10-1 winners despite Nathan Keegan scoring an outstanding own goal to give Benger the lead.

Sam Malone, hat-tricks for Rich Allum and Chris Dore plus strikes by Chris Berrelly, Jon McChesney and Bobby Mitchell completed the scoring.
