THE Calne derby between North Star Club and Calne United went the way of the former whose 5-1 success saw them leapfrog inactive Box Rovers and claim the Division Two top spot.

Jake Gleed and Mike McKeller scored in the first half to put North Star 2-0 up, but Matt Fenn’s goal early in the second half gave Calne United hope before further goals from Phil Huband on his debut, Tom King and a debut goal for Kieron Gleed sealed a comfortable victory for Liam Westland’s side.

Warminster Wanderers missed their chance to close the gap at the top of the table after they were beaten by the odd goal in 11 by Faded FC, who left it late before claiming their 6-5 win.

A composed finish from Adil Bakali and a long range effort from Georgica Badica put Faded 2-1 up at the break.

Warminster then turned the game on its head as they took a 3-2 lead only for Dan Jones to level when he skipped past four players.

Omar Bakali regained the lead for Faded with a beautiful finish from a set piece, Bilal Karmouni added a fifth for Faded but only after Warminster had netted twice.

With both teams hunting a winner, it was Omar Bakali who scrambled the ball home to give Faded their win. Jamie Howse and Ollie Nash with two each and Sam Griffiths were Wanderers' hitmen.
