A SIXTH straight win of the season for Buttercross saw them inflict a first loss of the season on Bromham FC.

Their 3-2 success over the villagers means that Paul Kidley’s side top Division Three on goal difference from Kingfisher.

Adam Mercer’s first goal of the season put Bromham ahead, but Kieran Tarrant levelled before half-time. Bromham reclaimed the lead through Luke Child, Sam Myles restored parity for Buttercross before Tom Webb netted the winner for the Butter boys.

Joe Thompson scored the Biddestone consolation in their 7-1 defeat at the hands of Fox & Hounds (Warminster). Myles Woodward continued his fine spell in front of goal with a four-timer, Taylor Kitley, Chikah Selassie and a Kyle Thompson own goal made up the seven.

Kingfisher ended a run of three defeats in all competitions with a 7-2 victory at Sporting Box who were unable to build on last week’s win over Biddestone.

Josh Griffiths who scored a hat-trick opened the scoring for the Fishermen, Chris Cox, a double for Will Stone and a Kieran Blake effort made things look easy for Chris Simpkins' side. Adam Greeves replied with both goals for Box.

Before their match at Christie Miller players of both White Hart FC and Old Road perfectly observed a minute's silence in memory of Josh Hammond who had died earlier this week.

The 4-0 result in favour of Old Road saw Hugo Skelhorn with a finish from a rebound give Road the lead. Matt Poole’s tidy finish into the bottom corner made it 2-0 and Poole then had a penalty saved.

In the second half Nathan Walker scored a goal of the season contender with a finish from just inside the opposing half, lobbing the keeper. The fourth was another great finish into the bottom corner from Walker.
