DIVISION THREE PREVIEW: Staverton bid for lead in title race

Bremhill View Boys' third division safety was assured a couple of weeks ago but Garry Marshall’s side find themselves in the thick of the action this coming Sunday when they entertain title chasing Staverton at Beaversbrook, in a game the visitors need to win if they are to reclaim top spot from Somerford.

Some strange refereeing decisions cost Bremhill dear in the last meeting of the sides, which ended 1-1, and although the result could be another close one, Staverton are expected to take the honours as they need for the points are greater than that of their hosts.

Kings Arms (All Cannings) host Corsham Park Rangers in what is the penultimate game of the season for both sides.

Current form suggests that Kings Arms, who won the reverse fixture 2-0, will take the honours again as Tim Spear’s Corsham Park side have lost four on the bounce and from a position of challenging for the title, they have tumbled down the rankings to ninth place.

Meanwhile, their hosts, who are in fourth spot in the standings, will finish in third position if they win any of their two remaining games.
