FOLLOWING the capture of hotshot Myles Hickton, from the defunct Lavington (Sunday), Division Four leaders PSC Galaxy have added to their list of already-impressive strikers.
After scoring six on his Galaxy debut last weekend, it would be a surprise if Hickton wasn’t in the goals again when his team visit lowly Spartans FC, who will be hoping for damage limitation against their guests.
Galazy are looking for 14 goals to reach the century mark and could chalk up a few as they look to stay clear at the top of the table. After finishing bottom of the pile last term, Crossblades FC are having a much better campaign this term.
The blades have already managed six victories which is double their tally from their first season in the league and with bottom-of-the-table Mallard visiting Melksham this weekend, Tim Chilton’s side will be favourites to add another two points to their tally and pick up back-to-back wins for the first time ever. It’s third versus fourth at Stanley Park where Fortune Inn host an in-form Buscots side, who have won five on the bounce since Andrew Webster took over at manager from Adam Bewley.
Bewley, in turn, has profited in front of goal since handing the reigns to Webster.
This will be a tough test for both sides as Fortune have lost just once in 13 games and have scored 100 goals in that time, making them the league’s top scorers.
It is hard to predict a winner but, due to their greater firepower, Fortune who boast the league’s top scorer in Richie Bolter are tipped for success.
Rose & Crown will become the first team in the league to complete their fixtures this season when they host a Cavalier side who are looking to arrest a five-match losing run.
That started with a 2-1 loss against Paul Kidley’s side in the reverse fixture.
Cavalier are likely to suffer defeat in what could be a high scoring contest as the Devizes-based side appear to be in turmoil following the recent departure of top scorer and manager John Stockman.
