Leaders Gladstone Arms need every point available to them if they are to have any chance of denying FC Jager the title.
With Jager in cup action, Gladstone will return to the summit if, as expected, they pick up maximum points from their meeting with Crown FC (Rowde), who travel to Yatton Keynell having won just one of their last 10 games. The old cliché relegation four-pointer is unquestionably what Green Bell’s match with Bromham (Sunday) is when the sides who meet at Sand’s Lane.
Rowde are currently in the bottom two and along with North Star A, are on seven points, thus making this game the biggest of the season for both teams as the winners could move clear of the drop zone.
Three points from their last three games have put Bromham in this position as at one stage they looked dead certs for the drop, a 3-2 win over Green Bell started their revival and with that in mind, Dan Rudman’s side are tipped to take the spoils again and move out of the bottom two for the first time since October.
North Star A’s point from their draw with Bromham (Sunday) last Sunday has boosted their chances of staying in the division, but with things remaining tight at the foot of the table, they must avoid defeat at home to Bradford Renegades and hope that both Bromham and Green Bell slip up in the games they have left.
Renegades won the reverse fixture 6-2 and will be looking for a third straight win and the form book suggests they will get it but if the hosts can pick up where they left of from a week ago when they stole a point off Bromham, then they could get something from this game.
