A POINT from a 2-2 draw for Biddestone Social at home to FC Jager on a sun-drenched Thursday evening at Yatton Road was all that was needed for Ashley Smith’s side to be crowned S.K. Fruits Limited Chippenham Sunday League Premier Division champions for a third successive season.

BIDDESTONE Social, who are chasing a unique quadruple, cleared the first hurdle at the weekend when they came from behind to beat top Swindon League outfit New Century WMC 4-2 in the final of this season’s Wiltshire Sunday Cup.

FC COLERNE were looking to complete a S.K. Fruits, Chippenham League Premier Division double over Bug & Spider who they had beaten 4-2 earlier in the season, but the Bath Road based side caved in for a third game running as they were beaten 8-2 by Marcus Lovesey side.

THIRD Division Corsham Park Rangers saw their hopes of reaching the semi-final stage of the Subsidiary Cup end when they were beaten 8-0 at top flight AFC Melksham, who now top Group B on goal difference from Corsham United, who they meet in a fortnight’s time in a game that will see the winners progress to the last four.
