The 21-year-old former Swindon Supermarine midfielder spent last season under dad Jeff at Hellenic League Bassett, whom he also player for at Calne Town.
Roberts spent the 2012/2013 season at Marine and started in their 5-2 Southern League Division One South & West play-off defeat to Merthyr Town last month.
Chippenham manager Mark Collier said: "Jordan was high on our target list and will bring real quality to the squad."
The Bluebirds have already recruited experienced defender Matt Coupe from Gloucester City whilst utility man Toby Osman has rejoined the club from Mangotsfield United.
