CHIPPENHAM Town have made further steps towards their first National League by re-signing four more players from their title winning campaign.

The Bluebirds, who rewrote the record books when clinching the Southern League crown with a haul of a 103 points, had already tied six of their championship squad down on new deals.

Now manager Mark Collier has agreed terms with goalkeeper Darren Chitty, alongside trio of defenders Rhys Baggridge, Dan Bowman and Nuno Felix for next season’s National League campaign.

That takes the total of players who have re-signed to 10 after already retaining the services of formidable strike partnership Andy Sandell and Dave Pratt.

Defensive duo Greg Tindle and Will Richards also elongated their stay at the club in addition to Alex Ferguson and Matt Smith, who will also return to Hardenhuish Park next year.

Collier will meet with Jon Beeden, Michael Pook, Matt Jones, James Guthrie and Gary Horgan as he looks to make more plans for next season.
