Everything remains as it was in Division Three as all five
of the planned fixtures were wiped out.
Bromham versus AFC Melksham was first to go. Their Jubilee Field pitch was
unable to host a second match in 24 hours after the Bromham Saturday side
had been in action hours earlier.
Leaders Biddestone White Horse and White Horse tried to reverse the fixture
to Cuttle Lane, Biddestone, but with that venue also underwater they were
forced to give up all attempts to get the match played.
The rain might have saved the leaders from a possible shock defeat as
Biddestone White Horse were without goalkeeper Pete Dennett, defender Andrew
Davis and attackers Paul Clifford, Tamlyn Goodrich, top scorer Scott Fleming
and Pete Edmundson. All six were away on holiday for the match against Clive
Black's side who would have been going all out for a victory in an attempt
to claim an unlikely victory that would massively improve their hopes of
beating the drop.
The long awaited rematch between second placed Pheasant FC and AFC Bell who
are in fifth spot, was lost, as was the match at Stanley Park, where Pack
Horse Rangers were due to host basement side Corsham Park Rangers and the
game at Green Lane, Devizes, where The Crown FC were set to welcome Blue
Circle (Sunday), who had lost all their previous eight matches on the road
this season.
