FIRST Division sides AFC Calne and North Bradley may have set a small piece of league history when they met at Avebury on Saturday morning.
The teams, who were scheduled to play each other last weekend, are believed to have become the first two teams to play a fixture on a Saturday since the league was formed in 1966.
AFC Calne, who lost 4-1 against Coyote on Thursday night, avoided a third successive loss as they defeated their guests 3-0 to claim an eighth place finish.
AFC Calne led 1-0 at the interval, thanks to Dean Fry's 11th goal of the season. Fry doubled the hosts' advantage with his second goal of the game that saw him finish an injury hit season with a dozen goals before Paul Green wrapped up the victory.
North Bradley's self-proclaimed man-of-the-match was Chris Carr who had a fine game at left back, but unlike Thursday night, when Carr guided his Coyote side to victory over AFC Calne, he was unable to prevent Bradley from losing away from home for a 10th time this term.
