WHILE most teams are enjoying a mid-season break, last season' Fourth
Division runners-up Riverside Renegades travelled to Alan Powell Lane,
Dilton Marsh, to face Frome Sunday League outfit Dilton Rovers in a
friendly.
And the result went the way of Lance Davis's Riverside team who triumphed
6-2.
Joe Taylor, who topped the Division Four goal scoring charts last term,
picked up where he left off by scoring a double in the victory. Davis scored
once, Ricky Montacute netted a brace and debutant Sam Jordan, who played
alongside his brothers Jake and Dan, opened his account with a single.
Sam, who bagged 19 goals for local rivals FC Bradford last season, will be a
great acquisition for the Riverside if he decides to join the Third Division
outfit when the new seasons gets underway in August.
