It may have taken Chippenham based Three Crowns United a lit bit longer than they would have liked before finally clinching the Division three title back towards the end of the season but on Saturday night they were presented with their winners trophy and memento’s at their presentation evening.
With 26 goals Marcus Young pick up the top goalscorer of the season award, Young who has been one of the most prolific strikers in the league for many seasons finished well clear of his closest rival Kelvin Page.
There was double joy for defender, Rob Hurkett who collected both the players and manager player of the year award, Hurkett earned nine votes from his fellow players and he was a little surprised when he picked up the award but a few moments later he was left shell shocked when manager Tony Beasley called him up again to receive his award for his outstanding contribution to a great season.
