Pheasant eyeing top spot

DIVISION TWO: Pheasant FC will move to the top of the Second division table tonight if they can beat The Crown Devizes at Sands Lane, Rowde which after their 9-0 demolition of AFC Melksham last weekend would seem a certainty but Mark Roberts Crown side could give the Pheasant a few nervy moments as the teams drew one each when they met back in February.

The Crown have won three on the bounce and with Pheasant on the menu tonight they then turn their attention to FC Bradford on Sunday so they could well have a say as to who wins the title or gets promoted, in reality the home team shouldn’t get anything from either game but they do have the knack of upsetting the odds when least expected and this could be one of those games where the Pheasant have their features ruffled to put their promotion celebrations on hold.
