HAVING clinched the Premier division title in midweek when the beat FC Bradford 3-1, back-to-back champions Biddestone Social opted to pick their places out of a hat before their final game of the season against Bug & Spider.

HAVING been confirmed as Premier Division champions for a second successive season after their 3-1 success over FC Bradford on Wednesday evening, Biddestone Social will return to Yatton Road on Sunday for their final game of the season when they host Knockout Cup winners Bug & Spider.

BIDDESTONE Social were crowned Chippenham League Premier Division champions for a second successive season on Wednesday evening after their 3-1 victory over Pete Collier’s FC Bradford whose defeat means that they finish as runners-up to Dan Lardner’s side.

BARRY Holloway’s FC Jager wrote their name into the league’s record books after they became the first team from outside the Chippenham Sunday League’s top flight to lift the Wiltshire Sunday Cup with a 2-1 defeat of top Swindon League side Greyhound 2-1 at Wootton Bassett’s Rylands Way ground.

THE 46th final of the reebrooks print media sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout Cup may not have been the best game ever witnessed at Corsham Town’s Southbank Ground but it kept the healthy crowd on it’s toes and had a couple of talking points.

With FC Bradford’s match away at Bug & Spider postponed, Bradford saw their lead at the top of the Premier Division cut to one point by defending champions Biddestone Social, who played the whole of their game away at Winsley with 10 players but thanks to a trio of goals from the Baggs family, took the spoils courtesy of a hard worked 3-0 success.

DAVE Young, secretary of Premier Division side AFC Bell, who had just five fixtures left to play, has informed league secretary Frank Harvey that the Devizes-based side will be withdrawing from the league with immediate effect.
