FOLLOWING hours of torrential rain early on Sunday morning which fell on already-saturated pitches the fixture programme of the Robson Taylor Chippenham & District Sunday League, which had been slowly get back to normal after the snow and frost from earlier in the year, was dealt another severe blow as waterlogged pitched forced the postponement of 18 of the scheduled 29 matches. Only the quick thinking of Biddestone Social’s secretary Jamie Lyons and the generosity of Holt saved the Premier Division from suffering another total wipe out.
