STEEPLE Ashton struggled to field a team for the trip Salisbury Premier division leaders Alderbury and lost 6-1. Rafel Whitcher scored their consolation.

Calne Eagles lost 4-0 to Heytesbury. Their goals came from Leigh Kennedy, three, and Tristan Wills.

Castle Combe beat Swindon Ramsbury 3-1. Clint Couzens, two, and Scott Nash scored.

Understrength North Bradley won 4-3 at Salisbury side Cedar FC thanks to a late Scott Askew goal. Earlier Jamie Young and two others from Askew has scored for Bradley. Young also missed a penalty.

Hilperton United thumped Swindon side Chisledon 12-2.

Dean Coles and Bradley Witham scored three apiece, Kieran Fereday and Ryan Underwood claimed two each, Nathan Smith and Sean O’Brien’s singles made up Hilperton’s dozen.

Potterne won 6-2 at DJC Marlborough. After falling behind to an early goal Potterne levelled through Craig Campbell’s penalty. Tom Lye put Potterne in front only for Marlborough to level. After that it was one way traffic as Lye, Neil Clarke, two, and Wayne House scored.

First division leaders Freshford United beat Semington Magpies 6-1. Sean Meer put Magpies ahead but Tom Rooney, two, Mark Gerrish, Nick Ross, Waleed Bakali and Dan Fowler hit back.

FC Trowbridge, new to the league this season, will probably have wished their chose not to enter the Junior Cup as a trip to Salisbury Premier division side Porton Sports ended in a 7-0 loss.
