WESTBURY United manager Adam Collington admits that his team ‘ran out of legs’ as they let a two-goal slip against Wells City last weekend.

Collington’s men soon found themselves two goals to the good at Meadow Lane, with Simon Millard finding the net twice in the first half to take his tally for the season to ten goals in as many appearances.

But as Wells piled on the pressure after half-time, they reduced the deficit as Ross Padfield headed home Mark Randall’s corner before Dan Williams fired home the equaliser from the penalty spot after Jake Brown was fouled by Westbury substitute Ashley Styles.

“We just ran out of legs towards the end and that was a shame,” said Collington.

“We either seem to start games really well, which we did on Saturday, and then finish badly or it goes the other way around and we start badly – at the moment, we just haven’t been able to put things together for 90 minutes.

“But I’ve told the lads to just keep going and the results will come eventually.”

Westbury make the trip to Sydenhams League Downton in the opening round of the Wiltshire Senior Cup this Saturday.
