FOLLOWING the demise of their reserve side, second division Worton & Cheverell are now flushed with players.
But the visit of Matt Rusling’s Trowbridge Wanderers Reserves outfit probably came too early for the side who are now rebuilding.
Once again Wanderers proved to be Worton’s nemesis, as a first-half double from Dave Sykes earned his team a 2-0 win, which was their third win on the bounce over the villagers.
Roy Wenham’s Calne Eagles may have seen a reversal in fortunes in previous weeks but against leaders Holt, who had already beaten them 7-0 in the A&B Cup, they came back down to earth with Ben Hogg’s villagers' beating them 4-0 to open up a three-point lead over the chasing pack.
Zack Manna’s double, Jamie Parlour and an own goal earned Holt win number six of the campaign.
