DEREK Graham is predicting a bright future for his young Warminster Town team.
Warminster came out on the right end of a seven-goal thriller against Wells City last weekend as they got back to winning ways in the Toolstation League First Division.
Graham says that his side have been a joy to manage for him and joint-boss Any Crabtree in recent weeks and thinks that his young players are laying the foundations for future success at Weymouth Street.
“At the moment, it is a pleasure for Andy and I to be running this young Warminster Town team,” said Graham.
“The enthusiasm about the club is amazing, with all the players revelling in playing such wonderful football , and now, eventually understanding they also need the work ethic to make it work.
“We will obviously have lots of ups and downs in the coming months but it will not change the way we play and it will set the foundations for a challenge for the top half of the league next season, as long as we can keep this very talented group together.”
Jack Miluk and Alex Lapham twice levelled up the scores after Wells had gone ahead before Tom Golledge made it 3-2 to Graham and Crabtree’s hosts.
Youngster George Butler headed home his first goal for the club before the visitors letted a late consolation.
