FROME chairman Jeremy Alderman was left ‘embarrased’ by his sides ill-discipline as they crashed out of the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Jon Vance and Josh Klein-Davies both saw red for the visitors as they fell to a 3-1 defeat.

In a statement released on the club website Alder has said that the level of discipline shown by his side so far this season has been unacceptable.

“On Saturday at Chippenham we once again saw ill-discipline that ultimately contributed to us bowing out of the FA Trophy at the first hurdle.

“The levels of discipline within the team this season has been embarrassing and the time for excuses, and laying blame anywhere else other than firmly at the door of the players and management, has passed.

“As a club we will not tolerate such behaviour. As a board we have already imposed fines to players for cautions for dissent and we have written to each member of the squad but we will now be looking to take additional action as an when required.

“The players and management must realise they are representing Frome Town and their actions are detrimental to the club both on and off the pitch – suspensions are costing us and our league position is suffering because of it.”

Following the game JOn Vance also took to the club website to apologise for his beahviour on the pitch.

“I want to apologise to the fans and to the club for my actions on Saturday.

“I have the utmost respect for Adrian Foster, as both a person and a manager and I know I let him down as well as my team-mates, the fans and ultimately Frome Town.

“As a player and as a squad we are going to roll our sleeves up and dig deep and show people the team that we know we can be.”
