WARMINSTER Town joint manager Derek Graham paid tribute to Tom Golledge after he helped himself to a hat-trick in Saturday’s 5-0 win at home to Keynsham Town in Toolstation Division 1.

George Butler and Jack Miluk were also on target as Warminster responded in emphatic fashion having lost by the same scoreline at Corsham Town seven days earlier.

The result ends a run of three straight defeats in all competitions for Town and sees them climb above Chippenham Park in the table.

“I’m delighted. It certainly made up for last week,” said Graham.

“Luckily were got an early goal which settled us down and were then 3-0 up at half-time. After that there was only going to be one winner.

“That has been coming from Tom. He’s a classy player and that’s what he is capable of.

“He is a bit greedy at times but we expect that from him because he played quite a few games for Frome Town at the start of the season.

“He never stops working. He had had Otis Young next to him up top at the weekend and the two of them worked so hard.

“We have got a decent side when we go forward.”

Graham also paid tribute to the Warminster fans after an impressive 124-strong crowd turned out at Weymouth Street to cheer on their side.

“After losing 5-0 last weekend you’d have thought people wouldn’t have bothered but we had the biggest crowd in the league on Saturday,” said Graham.

“Warminster has always been a great club for supporters and they were all buzzing in the clubhouse after the game.”
