HAVING ended their 11-match winless last weekend with a 3-2 victory over Worton & Cheverell, Ross Hatter’s Bradford United Reserves looked to build on that success at home to Trowbridge Rangers who, along with Bradford, are among five sides battling for their Division Two survival.

For Hatter’s side it was a case of after the Lord Mayor’s show as they suffered a 5-1 defeat which ended Rangers own three match losing run.

A double for Will Jacomb and Pat Kapelka first goal for the club gave them a 3-1 lead before Tim Bruton claim a goal back for Bradford prior to half time.

On a day of firsts, Bradley Butcher’s first for the club put Rangers 4-1 up before Cameron Thomas bagged his eighth of the season to earn James Goddard’s side three valuable points in their relegation dogfight.
