MARC Lanfear was honoured for his goalscoring exploits at Westbury United, before Saturday’s 2-2 draw with local rivals Warminster.
The 37-year-old striker has found the net more than 500 times in senior football, a hefty number during his 16 years in the green and white of Westbury. Lanfear received his award from the Westbury U8s team he coaches, which includes his son Kyan.
“I’m probably enjoying playing as much now as I ever have done, and it was really nice to get it from the team I coach,’’ he said.
“For the last few years I’ve played about 50 per cent for the reserves and 50 per cent for the first team.
“I’m Westbury through and through so the club know I’ll do a job whoever I’m asked to play for."
