ADRIAN Foster was left to rue a hatful of missed chances as Frome Town had to settle for a draw at Banbury United.

Aaron Rodriguez put the Robins ahead in the first half only for the visitors to be pegged back after the break by a Jacob Walcott penalty.

Banbury had earlier been reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Jack Westbrook, and although Frome had numerous chances to pull back in front, they could not find the necessary quality in the final third.

“We just couldn’t score, it was as simple as that,” said Foster.

“We could have scored 10 goals and if just one of those had gone I’m sure it would have been a different game.

“To be fair their keeper made some good saves but with the chances we had we could have won three games.

“We made poor decisions. We passed when we should have shot and shot when we should have passed.”

Frome entertain Arlesey Town on Saturday and Foster is aiming to strengthen his squad before that match.

“I’m hoping to have two signings before Saturday just to get the numbers of the squad up,” said Foster.

“But I need to be careful as in a few weeks time everyone will be fit and I’ll have too many to pick from.

“We’re looking to win the game against Arlesey as we need to keep on picking points if we’re going to pull ourselves up the table.”
