WESTBURY Town slipped from the top spot in Division Two after their suffered a second defeat of the season at the hands of local rivals and fellow promotion hopefuls White Horse FC.

Allan Clarke’s side defeated Westbury 3-0 when they met earlier in the season and the reverse clash saw Matt Gardiner’s teams suffer a 4-1 loss.

Stuart Barber saw his opener for the Horse cancelled out by Scott Walford whose goal on the stroke of half time set up a thrilling second half where goals from Darren Fryer, Marek Miszta and a second for Barber secured victory for the Horse.

A week on from their stunning 4-1 victory over promotion hopefuls Holt, Matt Rusling’s Trowbridge Wanderers Reserves returned to earth with a bump rather than a bang as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Heytesbury, whose win saw them leapfrog their opponents into third spot.

Bradley Edwards scored a late winner for Heytesbury after their keeper had earlier saved a Ben Rogers penalty.

After last week's surprise 4-1 loss to Trowbridge Wanderers Reserves, title hopefuls Holt made a return to winning ways.

With their home pitch unplayable, Ben Hogg’s side made the short trip to near-neighbours Bradford United Reserves where Natty Mills first-half goal and Zack Manna’s 88th-minute strike sealed what in the end was a hard-fought victory for Hogg’s team.

Worton & Cheverell remain in trouble at the foot of the table after a 2-1 defeat at Trowbridge Rangers left them just outside of the bottom two thanks to their superior goal difference from United FC who, like Worton, have nine points to their name.

Will Jacomb scored both Rangers goals, Luke Hamblen replied for Worton and only a brilliant Ben Forester save to tip Chris Webb’s goalbound shot out for a corner preserved Rangers' win.

United FC and Calne Eagles battling for their second division survival shared six points and the points following a thrilling 3-3 draw at Clarendon Academy.

Shavon Allen gave United a two-goal lead before Russell Driver halved the deficit for Calne.

A third from Allen restored United’s two-goal cushion only for goals for Gary Wootton and Brett Cullen to earn Calne a deserved point.
