CORSHAM Town chief Trevor Rawlings said it was a case of two points dropped after his side were held to a 1-1 draw at Keynsham Town.

The visitors failed to make the most of their first-half dominance and found themselves behind when Tom Morgan lashed home after the break.

Keiron Gleed soon brought Corsham level and they then had keeper Mark Billingsley to thank as he saved a Keynsham penalty in the last minute.

Rawlings said: “We are disappointed. No disrespect to Keynsham but we were expecting to go down there and win.

“We should have been about 4-0 up at half-time as we had so many chances.

“We also had a goal disallowed. The ball crossed the line but it wasn’t given.

“We didn’t play quite as well in the second half and they scored on the counter but we showed our character to get back in it.

“They then got a penalty in the last minute but thankfully Mark saved it. If we’d lost that game it would have been a travesty.”
