AFTER opening up their Centenary Remembrance Cup campaign with a 1-0 victory away at Semington Magpies, Robbie Burton’s Castle Combe side made it two wins on the bounce in the CDP Supply-sponsored competition thanks to another 1-0 success.
Player-manager Burton scoring the only goal that saw them defeat Trowbridge Town Reserves.
Combe’s keeper Rob Jefferies also played a major part in their latest success, the make shift number one produced a fantastic save to deny Mikey Johnson from the spot in the 38th minute following a foul on livewire forward Levi Wood.
The other scheduled match between Warminster Town Reserves and Hilperton United was lost to a frozen pitch.
