DARREN Perrin insists that the old cliché of ‘one game at a time’ remains the mantra for Melksham Town after they put promotion rivals Bristol Manor Farm to the sword last night.
In what the Melksham boss described as arguably his team’s best display of the season, Melksham ran out 4-1 winners at the Farm, with Dan Kovacs scoring twice whilst Gary Higdon and Ben Thomson were also on target.
Perrin’s men are ten points clear at the top of the Toolstation League Premier Division with seven games, all of which are away from home, to go.
“I said last week that I would review my expectations after next Saturday’s game and it we can get a victory, I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t finish in the top four,” said the Melksham manager.
“It’s an old cliché but all we’re thinking about is Longwell Green on Saturday. Every match is just another game ticked off.
“(Tuesday) was arguably our best performance of the season. The performance was fantastic and we were worthy winners.”
